Looking to earn academic credits? Here’s what you’ll need to do:

• Submit weekly feedback
• Write a reflective essay
• Receive an evaluation from your host supervisor

Types of academic credit

For university-sponsored interns:

• Your university handles credit approval.
• Your Admissions Advisor will guide you on your options.
• Need transfer credit? Virtual Internships can assist!

For self-paying interns:

• You’re responsible for securing credit through your university.
• Our School of Record (Saint Peter’s University) may offer credit.
• Notify Virtual Internships at least 8 weeks before your start date.

How to request academic credit

Step 1: Define your needs

Check with your university:

• Do they offer credit for virtual internships?
• How many internship hours are required?
• Are additional materials needed?

Step 2: Consult your university

After accepting your offer:

• Contact your Admissions Advisor or faculty lead.
• Follow their credit application process.
• If transfer credit is needed, reach out to us.

Step 3: Submit your request

• To request credit through our School of Record, complete the Academic Credit Request Form
• Email support@virtualinternships.com at least 8 weeks before your start date.
• Submit the form promptly for review.

If approved, you’ll receive an academic credit offer via email.

Step 4: Confirm your request

• Pay the credit fee (separate from program fee)
• Payment must be completed 4 weeks before your internship starts

Final Step: Complete your internship!

To receive credit, ensure that you:

• Meet minimum work hours.
• Submit all required materials within two weeks after your internship ends.
• Complete all Career Bridge requirements.
