Can you be guaranteed a niche role like SEO, marketing, cybersecurity, or clinical research?
Virtual Internships prioritizes matching you with roles that align with your skills and interests. However, securing a specific niche role—such as SEO, cybersecurity, or clinical research—is not guaranteed.
Specialized positions depend on factors like:
- Limited availability in niche industries
- Competitiveness of roles in certain sectors
- Flexibility requirements for learners in a linear placement process
To make the most of your internship experience, we encourage openness to various opportunities within your chosen field.
How our linear internship matching works
Step 1: First internship opportunity
You will be introduced to your first internship opportunity, where you’ll receive details about the company, role, and expectations.
Step 2: Interview decision
If you're interested, you can proceed to an interview with the company. We recommend accepting interview invitations to explore the opportunity fully.
Step 3: Post-interview decision
After the interview, you have two choices:
- Accept the offer: If the role aligns with your goals, you can accept the offer and complete the placement process.
- Decline the offer: If the role isn’t the right fit, you can decline the offer and move on to the next opportunity.
Step 4: Next opportunity
If you decline an offer, that company will no longer be an option. You’ll then be introduced to the next available internship opportunity, repeating the process until you accept an offer.
Notes:
- You will only see one internship opportunity at a time—not a list of multiple options.
- You cannot decline an offer solely based on the company's size or reputation. Decisions should be based on the role’s suitability for your career goals.
