What happens after you enroll in Virtual Internships?

Our team works closely with you to secure an internship that aligns with your career goals and interests. Placement typically takes six weeks, though timelines may vary.

Want to switch your career field? Let us know at least six weeks before your start date to ensure we can accommodate your request.

How our placement process works

We use a linear placement process, meaning you’ll receive one interview opportunity at a time. This ensures you can fully evaluate each company before moving on to another interview.

What this mean for you:

• Attending all interviews is required to make informed decisions.
• Without attending an interview, you won’t have a complete understanding of the company and the experience they offer.
• If a host company isn’t the right fit, you can reject the placement, but you’ll need to provide three specific skills you feel you would not gain in that role. Rejections based on company size, industry, or type are not permitted.

This structured approach helps strengthen your decision-making skills and ensures you carefully evaluate every opportunity.

Placement timeline and next steps

Our placement team will have your internship confirmed by the Friday before your start date, though we aim to do this earlier whenever possible.

Where to find interview requests? You’ll receive interview requests directly via your dashboard. Occasionally, our placement team may also reach out via email to coordinate interviews, so keep an eye on both.
